Accessibility Statement

JANWebs, LLC considers the term "accessibility" to not only be a compelling force of compassion on the internet, but firmly believes that the future of the internet demands standardization and uniformity. Not to mention, that it may very well become a very real constraint to businesses that place a substantial portion of marketing strategy in their World Wide Web presence.

JANWebs strives to design our Web sites, web services, and supporting documentation in the most accessible way possible. We acknowledge and understand that an ever growing population of individuals and emerging electronic products rely on assistive technologies to access information that we provide on the internet.

We are not alone in this endeavor. The Federal Government, the World Wide Web Consortium, Major browser providers (also known as user-agents), and a new breed of standards-based web designers have begun to openly embrace the term 'accessibility'.

Several countries have adopted legislation regarding information technology accessibility issues. Among them are Australia, Canada, Denmark, European Union, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States. Most of this legislation has been enacted within the past few years. Many of these require that anyone developing Web sites that communicate with the respective government must likewise be up to speed with the latest accessibility constraints.

Consider for a moment the following disabilities that make
accesing the internet difficult.

Here are a few of the many assistive technologies available to individuals with disabilities or impairments when it comes to accessing the internet.
